WELCOME TO THE ATLANTIC PYRENEES REGION
Our adventure begins as we arrive in Santander at 8:00 AM, after the overnight ferry crossing from Portsmouth. On this first day, participants will meet at the Iturria Hotel, nestled in Ainhoa, in the heart of the Atlantic Pyrenees. Ainhoa is a picturesque Basque village known for its charming white and red traditional houses. Its cobblestone streets, lush green landscapes, and stunning views of the surrounding mountains make it one of the most beautiful villages in France, the perfect place to start the tour. With its rich history and unique Basque culture, Ainhoa offers visitors a peaceful retreat and a glimpse into the region’s past. The selected hotel for the first night is Ithurria Hotel 4★. During the welcome dinner a tour briefing will take place and participants will receive the welcome packs and road books. -
EXPLORING IRATI FOREST & PORTALET PASS
Today’s drive will be through beautiful and changing scenery. A thrilling drive through the lush Irati Forest, one of Europe's largest and most beautiful beech and fir forests. This scenic route takes you through the enchanting green landscape, offering breathtaking views of the Pyrenees. As you drive through picturesque villages like Sabñánigo and ascend the winding roads to the Portalet Pass, you’ll experience a perfect blend of nature and culture. The next two nights the stay will be at the Villa Virginia hotel 4★. Dinner will be served in the hotel’s restaurant. -
DISCOVERING THE GUARA GORGES
Driving through the stunning Guara Gorges, a wonder of nature and home to one of Europe's largest vulture colonies is a great experience. Your road book will include recommended stops in hidden viewing points from where you will be able to see these amazing birds, which can reach a wingspan of more than 9 feet. As you drive along the scenic route, marvel at the towering cliffs, crystal-clear rivers, and dramatic landscapes that make this area a haven for nature lovers. Today, lunch will be included at a local restaurant, where you can enjoy regional specialities. Tonight, dinner will be served at the hotel. -
ENTERING DALÍ´S UNIVERSE
Today, we will enter into the surreal world of Salvador Dalí as you drive along quiet secondary roads in your Jaguar, heading towards the charming town of Puigcerdá. Known for its connection to the artist, Puigcerdá was a place where Dalí spent some time during his youth, and its unique atmosphere is said to have influenced his creative vision. As you explore the scenic surroundings, you'll discover the town's artistic spirit. Tonight the day ends with a group dinner and a peaceful stay at the 4★ Villa Paulita Hotel in Puigcerdá, offering a perfect blend of comfort and elegance. -
DALÍ DREAMSCAPES ROSES & FIGUERES
As you leave Puigcerdá, you’ll wind through scenic mountain roads, offering breathtaking views of the Pyrenees, before reaching the vibrant town of Figueres. Once there, a guided visit will take place to the Dalí Theatre-Museum, a surreal masterpiece created by the artist himself. The museum houses an extensive collection of his iconic works, from paintings to sculptures, offering a deep dive into Dalí's visionary genius. After exploring the museum, the route will be to the Hotel Peralada Wine Spa & Golf 5★ where the group will stay for the next three nights. Tonight, dinner will be served at the hotel. -
A DAY IN DALÍ´S HEAVEN: CADAQUÉS
Today, we will leave the cars behind and embrace the serene beauty of Cadaqués. After breakfast, a bus will take travelers to the port of Roses, from where a boat will take them to the picturesque town of Cadaqués. Once there, a visit to the famous Dalí House is highly recommended. Dalí spent many years in Cadaqués, where he found the inspiration for some of his most iconic works. After exploring the house, today there is no group lunch programmed so you can enjoy a free afternoon to wander through the charming streets of Cadaqués, soaking in the tranquil coastal atmosphere. In the afternoon, you'll return to Roses by boat, and the day will end with a group dinner at one of the restaurants of the Hotel Peralada Wine Spa. -
PÚBOL & DALÍ´S ENCHANTED WORLD
After breakfast, we set off behind the wheel of our classic Jaguars, cruising through the scenic Catalan countryside towards the enchanting village of Púbol. This quiet medieval town is best known for its connection to the surrealist world of Salvador Dalí, who gifted the Gala Dalí Castle to his muse and lifelong companion, Gala. Upon arrival, a guided visit to the castle will take place, where we will be able to admire its rooms and gardens, filled with personal touches, making this an intimate look into Dali´s extraordinary world. Following the visit, we’ll gather for a group lunch at a local restaurant, before driving back to the hotel. Tonight, dinner will be free. -
VOLCANIC LANDSCAPES & CLIFFSIDE WONDERS
Today’s route takes us through one of Catalonia’s most captivating natural treasures — La Garrotxa Volcanic Zone Natural Park. Driving along these winding country roads framed by lush forests and ancient lava flows, we experience the raw beauty of this unique region shaped by volcanic activity. Along the way, we highly recommend a stop in Castellfollit de la Roca — one of Catalonia’s most striking villages. Perched dramatically on a narrow basalt cliff, this tiny town offers unforgettable panoramic views and a one-of-a-kind atmosphere. After soaking in the charm of this remarkable village, we continue our scenic drive towards Parador La Seu D´Urgell 4★, nestled in the foothills of the Pyrenees. There, we’ll enjoy a refined group dinner, closing the day with the exquisite cuisine of the southern side of the Pyrenees. -
ROAD TO CANFRANC: PYRENEAN PASSES & HIDDEN ROUTES
Today’s journey takes us off the beaten path, as we embark on an unforgettable drive through the secondary mountain routes of the Pyrenees. With the roar of the engine, we’ll drive on winding roads, deep forests, and breathtaking mountain passes. The route leads us towards Canfranc, where we’ll encounter magnificent alpine views, peaceful valleys, and small villages that seem untouched by time. Along the way, we’ll experience the beauty of the Pyrenees, all while savouring the joy of driving these historic roads. As we reach Canfranc, the tour will stay at the Hotel Barceló Canfranc 5★, a stunning hotel set in a historic train station between Spain and France at the very heart of the Pyrenees. A group dinner will take place in the hotel. -
THROUGH THE HEART OF THE PYRENEES TO LA RIOJA
Today we have ahead a stunning journey driving through the heart of the Pyrenees, through secondary mountain roads that take us along quiet valleys, dense forests, and charming villages. As we drive towards La Rioja, the landscape transitions from the majestic Pyrenees to the serene vineyards of Spain’s celebrated wine region. The day culminates at the Viura Hotel 4★, where we’ll enjoy a farewell group dinner to celebrate the unforgettable memories made during this incredible tour. -
END OF THE TOUR
Today we reach the end of the tour. We will make our way to the port of Bilbao for the return ferry crossing to Portsmouth, departing at 1:00 PM. It has been a journey of roads, landscapes, roaring engines, and shared memories. Today, we part ways with the promise of meeting again on the next adventure.
