We spent four days crossing some of the deepest, unknown and beautiful valleys of Cantabria and Asturias, with stops in viewing-points that do not appear in any guide, enjoying also the peasantry, the good gastronomy and the great quality of  small and charming five star hotels that really deserves this category.

Finally the weather gave us a truce in this rainy spring and allowed us to enjoy the landscapes of the high mountains of the north of the peninsula; changing landscapes going from the green rabid tones of the mountain chain to the white of the still covered with snow summits of the Picos de Europa, and the blue of the Cantabrian Sea.
